Rooibos (redbush), origin South Africa, contains Aspalathin, a flavonoid present in medicinal herbs used to treat skin and circulatory disorders. Anti-spasmodic properties of Rooibos can also relieve colic and stomach cramps.  Studies show that rooibos contains comparable amounts of antioxidants to green tea who may protect against free radical damage. Rooibos, unlike black and green tea is completely caffeine-free and it is low in tannin (4,4 %) and rich in essential minerals. Rooibos is excellent for hot tea or iced tea, flavored and scented.
